2022 Forest River Coachmen Chaparral | Before & After FlexArmor Roof Upgrade
This 2022 Forest River Coachmen Chaparral came into our Denton, Texas shop for a FlexArmor lifetime, no-leak RV roof, along with several functional upgrades designed to improve comfort, connectivity, and future expandability.
Before
Prior to the upgrade, the Chaparral had a standard factory roof system with limited ventilation and no dedicated provisions for future electrical or solar additions. While the roof itself was still serviceable, this was an ideal opportunity to upgrade before long-term wear or maintenance issues developed.
Roof Installation & Upgrades
The RV received a FlexArmor seamless roofing system, creating a fully bonded, one-piece surface designed to eliminate seams and significantly reduce future maintenance. As part of the project, several upgrades were integrated into the roof system:
- J-Box installation to allow for clean, organized wiring and future-ready electrical or solar additions
- Two Maxx Fan 4500 units installed to improve airflow and ventilation throughout the interior
- King Jack antenna upgrade to enhance signal strength and reception while traveling or camping
- All components were professionally installed and integrated into the FlexArmor system for a clean, uniform finish.
After
The completed roof features a smooth, consistent surface with properly sealed penetrations and a well-balanced layout of roof components. Combined with the added ventilation, wiring access, and antenna upgrade, this Chaparral now has a maintenance-free roofing solution that supports both comfort today and flexibility for future upgrades.
